The central government has nominated Sameer Shukla (IAS:2005:KN) as Nominee Director on the Board of Union Bank of India in place of Madnesh Kumar Mishra (IRS-IT:1990). According to a notification issued by the Department of Financial Services on 08.11.2021, he has been nominated to the post with immediate effect and until further orders. He is currently serving as Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance.
