The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Thursday accepted the proposal of the Department of Financial Services (DFS) to extend the tenure of three managing directors and chief executive officers (MDs and CEOs) and ten executive directors (EDs) of public sector banks.
Tenure extension for following MDs & CEOs :
- The tenure of S S Mallikarjuna Rao, MD and CEO of Punjab National Bank, has been extended until January 31, 2022, the date of his superannuation.
- The tenure of Atul Kumar Goel, MD and CEO of UCO Bank, has been extended for a period of two years i.e. October 31, 2023.
- The tenure of A S Rajeev, MD and CEO of Bank of Maharashtra, has been extended for a period of two years i.e. November 30, 2023.
Tenure extension for following Executive Directors :
The following EDs received a extension for a period of 2 years beyond their notified tenure :
- Ajay K Khurana, ED, Bank of Baroda
- A Manimekhalai, ED, Canara Bank
- P R Rajagopal, ED, Bank of India
The tenure of following EDs have been extended till the date of their superannuation :
- Sanjay Kumar, ED, Punjab National Bank
- Vijay Dube, ED, Punjab National Bank
- Gopal Singh Gusain, ED, Union Bank of India
- Manas Ranjan Biswal, ED, Union Bank of India
- Vikramaditya Singh Khichi, ED, Bank of Baroda
- Shenoy Vishwanath Vittal, ED, Indian Bank
- Alok Srivastava, ED, Central Bank of India.
