Govt appoints non-executive Chairman in four Public Sector Banks

The central government has appointed Non-Executive Chairman on the Boards of four Public Sector Banks-Canara Bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB), Union Bank of India and Punjab & Sind Bank (PSB) following the approval given by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).

The central government has appointed Non-Executive Chairman on the Boards of four Public Sector Banks-Canara Bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB), Union Bank of India and Punjab & Sind Bank (PSB) following the approval given by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).

They are;

  1. Vijay Srirangan has been appointed as part-time Non-Official Director and Non-Executive Chairman of Canara Bank for three years.
  2. K G Ananthakrishnan has been appointed as part-time Non-Official Director and Non-Executive Chairman of Punjab National Bank for three years.
  3. Srinivasan Varadarajan has been appointed as part-time Non-Official Director as well as Non-Executive Chairman of Union Bank of India for three years.
  4. Charan Singh has been appointed as part-time Non-Official Director as well as Non-Executive Chairman of Punjab & Sind Bank for two years.
