Govt appoints new Railway Board Members for Infra, Ops and Tranction-RS

The Modi government on Thursday issued orders notifying the appointment of three vital posts in the Railway Board.

They are ;

1. Sanjeev Mittal (IRSE:1982) has been appointed as Member (Infrastructure), Railway Board. The post was vacant since 1st March 2021. He is set to retire from the service in March 2022. Presently, he is serving as General Manager, Central Railway.
2. Sanjay Kumar Mohanty (IRTS:1985) has been appointed as Member (Operation & Business Development), Railway Board. He will take over from P S Mishra (IRTS:1982) who is set to retire on 30.04.2021. Mohanty will retire from service in December 2022. Presently, he is serving as General Manager, South Eastern Railway.
3. Rahul Jain (IRSME) has been appointed to the post of Member (Traction & Rolling Stock), Railway Board. The post was vacant since February 2021. Presently, he is serving as Director General (Safety), Railway Board.
