Girish Kumar Borah, Chief General Manager (CGM), Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), has been appointed as Director (Technical) of NLR. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (18.07.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas to appoint Girish Kumar Borah to the post for a period with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation i.e. 30.06.2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Notably, on 27 December, 2022, the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) recommended his name to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet for approval after interviewing ten candidates.
