The Modi government on Tuesday appointed Govinda Rajulu Chintala as chairman of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), for period of two years till his superannuation in July 2022. Currently, Chintala is serving as chief general manager at NABARD.
The government also cleared the appointment of Shaji KV (GM, Canara Bank) and PVS Suryakumar (CGM, NABARD) for the posts of Deputy Managing Director, NABARD. Shaji’s term of appointment will be for a period of five years whereas Suryakumar will have a tenure till retirement i.e. 31.07.2023.
