Former Gautam Budhnagar (Noida) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vaibhav Krishna’s (IPS:2010:UP) suspension was revoked after he was suspended from services on January 9, 2020 after his explicit video calling and exchange of messages had gone viral on social media.

Vaibhav Krishan was also accused of leaking secret government documents. The Uttar Pradesh government since then has implemented the commissionerate system in the nation capital region (NCR). Confirming this, the senior officers of the home department said the former Noida SSP Krishna will be soon given new posting.

Earlier, Krishna had also made allegations of taking money for transfer-postings against five IPS officers in the state. Of the five IPS officers, three were given clean chit by the government’s special investigation team probing the charges. The SIT had, however, recommended action against two IPS officers Ajay Pal Sharma (IPS:2011:UP) and Himanshu Kumar (IPS:2010:UP). Later, an FIR was lodged by the Vigilance establishment against them.

Krishna as Noida SSP was instrumental in exposing Rs 4,000 crore Bike Bot scam and had arrested Sanjay Bhati, the owner of Garvit Innovators Promoters Limited (GIPL). The first FIR in connection with the bike bot scam was registered during Krishna’s stint as SSP GB Nagar.
