Former Union Finance Secretary Subhash Chandra Garg (Retd.IAS:1983:RJ) has been appointed as advisor to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for resource mobilisation. Garg has been assigned the rank of a Cabinet Minister and will continue to hold post for a period of two years.
Garg, who was Finance and Economic Affairs Secretary, opted for early retirement from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in July last year after being abruptly shifted by Modi government from Union Finance Minister to the Ministery of Power.
