Dr. Prasanna Kumar Acharya, presently serving as Chief General Manager at NLC India Limited (NLCIL) and currently on deputation as Director (Finance) at Chennai Metro Rail Limited, has been appointed as Director (Finance) at NLCIL for a tenure of five years. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on Friday, December 15, 2023, stating that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has endorsed the Minister of Coal’s proposal for Dr. Acharya’s appointment to the position. This appointment is effective for a period of five years from the date he assumes charge or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier.
