New Delhi, May 20, 2025: Dr Kulwant Singh (IPS:2013:TR) has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D) for a period of five years.
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday (19.05.2025), the competent authority has approved his appointment on deputation basis from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Currently, Dr Singh is serving as Superintendent of Police (Economic Offences) in the Crime Branch of Tripura Police, as per the official Tripura Police website.
The MHA has directed the state government to relieve him immediately to enable him to join his new assignment at the Centre.
