Dr. Brajesh Mishra (ITS: 1993) has been granted permission to work as Senior AI & Innovation Coordinator with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), Geneva, on a secondment basis for a period of two years. Presently, she is serving as Deputy Director General, Ministry of Communications, and Head of C-DOT Collaborative Research Programs (Scientist ‘G’).
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (25.03.2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Department of Telecommunication for granting the necessary permission to Dr. Mishra. This approval will enable him to take up the foreign assignment on a secondment basis for two years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Secondment in Indian government refers to the temporary transfer of an officer from their parent department to another organization, like a different ministry, PSU, or international body.
