A meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) was held in Delhi on Tuesday to consider the promotion of Uttar Pradesh’s 2008 and 2010 batch PCS officers to the IAS cadre.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and the Central Government, along with UP Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, Chief Minister’s Additional Chief Secretary S.P. Goyal, Principal Secretary (Appointment) M. Devraj, and Special Secretary (Appointment) Vijay Kumar.
According to sources, 27 PCS officers are set to be promoted to the IAS cadre, as there are only 27 vacant posts available in Uttar Pradesh for promotion. It is expected that all PCS officers from the 2008 batch and some from the 2010 batch will be promoted, provided there are no pending investigations that could halt the process.
