Dinesh Singh (IOFS:1989), currently serving as Development Commissioner (Joint Secretary level) at the Kandla Special Economic Zone (KASEZ) in Gujarat, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (October 23, 2025), the competent authority has approved the proposal of the Department of Commerce for his repatriation to enable him to avail the benefit of promotion in the cadre.
Singh has been serving in the post since May 2023, following his appointment order issued by the DoPT on May 18, 2023. His appointment was initially up to the date of his superannuation on December 31, 2025. However, he has now been repatriated ahead of schedule to facilitate promotion in his parent cadre.
