Dinesh Hariram Mate (IA&AS:2012), who was recommended for central deputation by the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG), has been appointed as Deputy Director General (Dy DG) in the Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai, under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, for a period of four years.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (November 4, 2025), Mr. Mate will serve at the Deputy Secretary level under the Central Staffing Scheme for four years from the date of taking charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
