Dhuppe Shivraj Umakantrao (IA&AS:2010) has been designated as the Director/Senior Research Officer at the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA)’ Secretariat in Port Louis, Mauritius, which is a Captive post of the Government of India (GOI) under the Ministry of External Affairs. This appointment is for a duration of three years, as per the order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (09.02.2024). The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved Mr. Umakantrao’s appointment, and the term is effective for three years from the date he assumes the responsibilities of the post or until further orders are issued, whichever occurs earlier. He will be taking over from M Saravanan (IAS:2002:BH).
