In a recent move, Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora (IPS:1988:TN) has reconstituted the Screening Committee responsible for overseeing new postings of Station House Officers (SHOs) across Delhi. The revamped five-member committee will be chaired by Sunil Kumar Gautam (IPS:1989:AGMUT), who currently serves as the Special Police Commissioner in the Training Division. Gautam is expected to lead the committee until his retirement on July 31, 2024.
The newly constituted Screening Committee comprises the following Special CP rank officers:
- Sunil Kumar Gautam (IPS:1989:AGMUT): Chairman
- Dependra Pathak (IPS:1990:AGMUT): Member (Presently serving as Special CP, L&O Zone-I)
- Dr Saagar Preet Hooda (IPS:1997:AGMUT): Member (Presently serving as Special CP, L&O Zone-II)
- Nuzhat Hussain (IPS:1991:AGMUT): Member (Presently serving as Special CP, Vigilance)
- Satish Golcha (IPS:1992:AGMUT): Member (Presently serving as Special CP, Intelligence)
The reconstitution of this committee holds significance for the public, as SHOs play a crucial role in maintaining law and order within their respective jurisdictions as part of the field formation of the Delhi Police.
