The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Tuesday (28.05.2024) extended the tenure of Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar (IAS:1987:AGMUT) for an additional three months till August 2024. This extension follows a previous six-month extension that was scheduled to end on May 31, 2024.
Kumar was appointed as Chief Secretary in April of last year, after serving as the Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh.
Initially, he was due to retire on November 30 last year, but the Centre extended his tenure by six months.
