Defense Secretary Ajay Kumar (IAS:1985:KL) has been forced to go into home quarantine after his tested for Covid-19. Kumar is the first top bureaucrat to test positive for coronavirus. According to sources, he tested positive on Tuesday, but his condition is stable.
The first-floor of the South Block where the defense secretary has his office is being sanitized. The floor has the offices of several top officials including the defense minister, the army chief, the navy chief and several bureaucrats.
