Deepak M Damor (IPS:2001:GJ) has assumed the position of Inspector General of Border Security Force (BSF) – Gujarat Frontier. He officially took charge at the BSF Headquarters in Gujarat on a Saturday. Damor has taken over from Ravi Gandhi, a BSF officer from the 1986 batch, who has been transferred to the BSF Academy, Tekanpur, as Additional Director General.
Before this appointment, Damor held the position of IG of BSF North Bengal Frontier. Prior to that, he served as Joint Director in the National Crime Records Bureau before being laterally shifted to BSF.
In his career, Deepak M Damor has also had experience on central deputation, having served in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Gujarat and Mumbai.
