Debapriya Bardhan appointed Deputy Secretary in Department of Expenditure

IAS officer Debapriya Bardhan (IAS:2012:TR) has been appointed as Director in the Department of Expenditure, Delhi, for five years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (March 30, 2026), the competent authority has approved his appointment to the post under the central staffing scheme for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Prior to this assignment, he was serving in the cadre as District Magistrate & Collector of North Tripura District.
