In a major internal restructuring, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has redefined the duties and supervisory roles of its senior officers posted at the force’s headquarters in the CGO Complex, New Delhi. The move aims to streamline command and enhance operational coordination within the country’s largest central armed police force.
As per the revised structure, Inspectors General (IGs) of 13 key branches will now report to their designated Special Director Generals (Special DGs) or Additional Director Generals (ADGs). The Director General (DG) and ADGs may also assign additional responsibilities as required.
Vitul Kumar (IPS:1993:UP), Special DG (Operations), has been entrusted with the most extensive supervisory role. He will oversee the IGs of Operations, Intelligence, CoBRA, VIP Security, and Rapid Action Force (RAF).
Zaki Ahmed (IPS:1993:UP), Special DG (Administration), will supervise the IGs of Administration, Establishment, Communication, and Medical divisions.
Deepak Kumar (IPS:1994:AM), Special DG (Training), has been tasked with overseeing the Training Headquarters and the CRPF Academy.
Meanwhile, Sandeep Khirwar (IPS:1995:HY), ADG (Headquarters), will handle critical administrative functions, supervising the IGs of Purse, Works, Provisioning, and the Financial Advisor (FA).
