The CBI Director Rishi Kumar Shukla has also asked all officers to rely for necessary correspondence on emails and avoid sending files and documents to other offices.

The officers are also to refrain from meeting or gathering during breakfast, lunch and tea breaks. Meetings requiring the attendance of more than 5 persons should be avoided.

The Group B and C staff has also been divided into two- one half will come to office and the other will work from home.

An officer said, “The important investigations will not be affected at all as we are working on rotation. Everybody is available on phone or email. CBI’s probes are usually document based and summoning of accused can always resume after two-three weeks”.
