Sometimes unrealized dreams take us to a path which is equally fulfilling and rewarding. And that is true in the case of Mr. Aditya Nath Das. Dealing with the quagmire of rules and regulation as a bureaucrat Mr. Das never forgot to remind himself again and again that it is the public welfare for which he is being assigned a role and every decision must be driven by that spirit. A person who has believed that human touch is one of the most important ingredients of being a successful civil servant. A voracious reader of world literature, a poet to the boot, Mr. Das epitomized an individual who has not forgotten his roots and being driven by the ideals of equality and humanity which he had learnt in JNU, his alma mater.
