As Legendofficers.com reported earlier in the day, senior IAS officer Subodh Kumar Singh (IAS:1997:CG) has been appointed as Principal Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). The state government issued the order on Friday, confirming our earlier report.
On December 17, the central government repatriated Mr. Singh to his parent cadre at the request of the Chhattisgarh government. Reliable sources had indicated that he was likely to secure a position in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). Singh formally rejoined his parent cadre on Friday.
Before his repatriation, he served as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Steel.
Notably, during Dr. Raman Singh’s tenure as Chief Minister, Subodh Singh had also served in the Chief Minister’s Office, in addition to managing several key departments.
