Following the joining of Diprava Lakra (IAS:2005:PB) in Chandigarh Administration, charges have been reassigned among officers. Lakra has been assigned charge of Secretary, Finance; Secretary, Estates; Secretary, Treasury and Accounts/ Local Fund Audit; Secretary, Planning; Secretary, Statistics; Secretary, Transport; Secretary, Labour & Employment; Secretary, Housing and Chief Administration. Meanwhile Mandip Singh Brar (IAS:2005:HY), Home Secretary of UT Administration, has been given additional charge of Secretary, Tourism.
Further, Hargunjit Kaur (IAS:2013:PB) will continue to hold the charge of Secretary Industries; Special Secretary, Finance; Special Secretary, Engineering; Director, Treasury & Accounts, Director, Planning & Statistics and Director Local Audit Department.
On October 14, the Ministry of Home Affairs appointed Diprava Lakra as Finance Secretary of UT Administration. He succeeds Vijay Namdeorao Zade (IAS:2002:PB), whose three years tenure concluded in June 2024.
