Chandigarh: UT administration assigned additional charges to 7 IAS officers

The Chandigarh administration relieved IAS officer Dr. Vijay Namdeorao Zade (IAS:2002:PB) from his position as Finance Secretary of the UT Administration upon completion of his tenure. Subsequently, the UT administration issued fresh orders assigning officers additional charges along with their existing duties.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Rajeev Verma (IAS:1992:AGMUT), UT Adviser, has been given charge of Home and Police/Prisons
2. Anindita Mitra (IAS:2007:PB), Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, will look after the charge of Secretary, Water Resources, Estate/Housing and Urban Planning. She will also be Chief Administrator.
3. Ajay Chagti (IAS:2010:AGMUT), UT Health and Personnel Secretary, has been given charge of Secretary, Local Government & Urban Development and Chairman, Chandigarh Industrial & Tourism Development Corporation Ltd.
4. Vinay Pratap Singh (IAS:2011:HY), Deputy Commissioner, has been given charge of Secretary, Transport, Labour & Employment and Revenue.
5. Abhijit Vijay Chaudhary (IAS:2012:AGMUT), UT Education Secretary, has been given charge of Secretary, Law & Justice, Environment & Forest and Special Secretary of Home/Police/Prisons.
6. Hargunjit Kaur (IAS:2013:PB), UT Tourism Secretary, has been given charge of Secretary, Finance, Treasury & Forests, Planning, Statistics and Engineering.
7. Hari Kallikkat (IAS:2018:AGMUT), Secretary, Food & Supplies, has been given charge of Information Technology, Coordination and Protocol.
