The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has cleared the name of Kuldeep Singh Chahal (IPS:2009:PB) for the post of senior superintendent of police (SSP) in Chandigarh Police. This comes after the Union home ministry cleared Chahal’s name and had sent it to the appointments committee.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has also cleared Chahal’s inter cadre deputation from Punjab to AGMUT for three years.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has picked the Chahal as SSP Chandigarh from a panel of three IPS officers from Punjab including Mohali SSP, Patil Ketan Baliram (IPS:2010:PB), AIG, counter intelligence, Amritsar, and Vivek Sheel Soni (IPS:2011:PB), SSP, Ludhiana rural.
