The central government on Monday (25.10.2021) notified the transfer of Justice Joymalya Bagchi back to his parent High Court, the Calcutta High Court from Andhra Pradesh. The Supreme Court collegium had recommended Justice Bagchi’s transfer back to the Calcutta High Court on September 16. Last year, the collegium had recommended to transfer Justice Bagchi from Calcutta to Andhra Pradesh High Court on December 14, 2020.
