The Union government on Wednesday (August 27, 2025) notified the appointment of Bombay High Court Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Patna High Court Chief Justice Vipul M Pancholi as judges of the Supreme Court.
With these two appointments, the apex court has reached its sanctioned strength of 34 judges, leaving no vacancies.
The Supreme Court Collegium, led by Chief Justice of India B R Gavai, had recommended their names for elevation on August 25, 2025.
