Centre notifies appointment of 7 Additional HC Judges

Centre appoints 7 advocates as Additional Judges in MP, Punjab & Haryana, Uttarakhand, Gauhati, and Bombay High Courts, following SC Collegium’s nod.

The Union government on Monday (26.05.2025) notified the appointment of seven advocates as Additional Judges in various High Courts across the country.

The appointments are as follows:

  • Deepak Khot, Amit Seth, and Pawan Kumar Dwivedi – appointed as Additional Judges of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
  • Rohit Kapoor – appointed as Additional Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
  • Subhash Upadhyay – appointed as Additional Judge of the Uttarakhand High Court.
  • Shamima Jahan – appointed as Additional Judge of the Gauhati High Court.
  • Sachin Shivajirao Deshmukh – appointed as Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court.

These appointments were made following the recommendations of the Supreme Court Collegium on various dates.
