Centre notified transfer of two senior judges to Telangana HC

The central government on Monday (18.03.2024) approved and formally notified the transfer of two senior judges from Madhya Pradesh and Calcutta High Courts to the Telangana High Court after obtaining the assent of President Droupadi Murmu.

The central government on Monday (18.03.2024) approved and formally notified the transfer of two senior judges from Madhya Pradesh and Calcutta High Courts to the Telangana High Court after obtaining the assent of President Droupadi Murmu.

The newly appointed judges, Justice Sujoy Paul from Madhya Pradesh High Court and Justice Moushumi Bhattarcharya from Calcutta High Court, are expected to assume their roles in the Telangana High Court in the near future.

Their transfers were recommended by the Supreme Court collegium, led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, approximately a month ago. The central government has now finalized and notified these transfers.
