Centre extends tenure of four CBI Joint Directors

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has extended the tenure of four Joint Directors in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued the deputation tenure extension order on June 27, 2023.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has extended the tenure of four Joint Directors in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued the deputation tenure extension order on June 27, 2023.

They are;

  1. The deputation tenure of Rakesh Aggarwal (IPS:1994:HP) as Joint Director in CBI has been extended for a period of three months i.e. from 03.03.2023 to 02.06.2023 (7 years 9 months in total) or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
  2. The deputation tenure of Viplav Kumar Choudhary (IPS:1997:AGMUT) as Joint Director in the CBI has been extended for a further period of one year and six months from 28.03.2023 to 27.09.2024 (7 years in total) or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
  3. The deputation tenure of Pankaj Kumar Srivastava (IPS:1992:MP) as Joint Director in the CBI has been extended for a period from 19.02.2023 to 24.11.2023 i.e. upto completion of 63rd NDC course.
  4. The deputation tenure of Sharad Agarwal (IPS:1997:AGMUT) as Joint Director in the CBI has been extended for a period of one year beyond 31.05.2023 and till 31.05.2024 (8 years in total).
