In a significant development, the Central Government on Friday (October 31, 2025) approved the appointment of three Chief Vigilance Officers (CVOs) in major Public Sector Undertakings — Metal Scrap Trading Corporation Ltd. (MSTC), Paradip Port Authority (PPA), and Mumbai Port Authority (MbPA).
According to the order, all three officers have been appointed for an initial period of three years from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The appointments are as follows:
- Amit Kumar Gupta (IRSME:2008) – appointed as CVO, Metal Scrap Trading Corporation Ltd. (MSTC).
- R. N. Abanikant Parida (IRPS:2011) – appointed as CVO, Paradip Port Authority (PPA), Paradip.
- Vikas Verma (IRSME:2010) – appointed as CVO, Mumbai Port Authority (MbPA), Mumbai.
