Centre appoints 7 IPS officers from Uttarakhand cadre to key positions

In a significant development, the central government on Saturday (04.01.2025) appointed seven Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from Uttarakhand cadre as DIGs in CISF, ITBP, NCRB, BSF, CRPF and BPR&D. All appointments are on a deputation basis for five years.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Neeru Garg (IPS:2005:UK) has been appointed as DIG in B&PRD.
2. Mukhtar Mohsin (IPS:2005:UK) has been appointed as DIG in CRPF.
3. Arun Mohan Joshi (IPS:2006:UK) has been appointed as DIG in BSF.
4. Rajeev Swaroop (IPS:2006:UK) has been appointed as DIG in BSF.
5. Senthil Avoodai Krishna Raj (IPS:2007:UK) has been appointed as DIG in CISF.
6. Janmejaya P Kailash (IPS:2007:UK) has been appointed as DIG/Deputy Director in NCRB.
7. Barinderjit Singh (IPS:2008:UK) has been appointed as DIG in ITBP.
