After the appointments of Sanjay Kumar Agarwal (IRS C&IT: 1988) as Chairman and Surjit Bhujabal (IRS C&IT: 1989) as Member, the Department of Revenue (Ministry of Finance) has reorganized the work distribution among CBIC Members.
With the new Chairman, S. K. Agarwal, overseeing all zones and DGs through the members, there have been several shifts in roles. Rajiv Talwar now handles Compliance Management, previously under S. K. Agarwal. Surjit Bhujabal takes charge of Customs, previously overseen by Rajiv Talwar.
