An order by it’s Director Rishi Kumar Shukla (IPS:1983:MP) reveals all is not well with the India’s premier probe agency, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as many senior officials, prosecutors and investigators at it’s headquarters and outstation branches have been pulled up for lack of punctuality. Many of them were found absent from work and office, especially in the morning hours.
Sources reveal that director Shukla, considered to be a tough cop and a disciplinarian, has issued a stern order, instructing senior officials of the level of Joint Directors and above, at its HQ and heads of Zones and law officers, to refrain from coming late or at irregular hours to their respective offices, as the same gets noticed by the subordinates and inculcates, indiscipline in the organisation, passing through such testing times with various high profile cases, including Sushant Singh’s death. Sources in the agency further added that, officials arrive late in the office and leave early on many days, leading to a general indiscipline and loss of work hours, affecting quality of work for the organisation. The COVID-19 pandemic further enhanced this indiscipline at the work places.
But after the Director’s order, the entire staff is now turning on time, added our source.
