CBDT transfers 7 IRS officers in Pr. CIT/PDIT rank

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on Wednesday (July 16, 2025) issued transfer and posting orders for seven senior Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officers in the grade of Principal Commissioner of Income Tax (Pr. CIT) and Principal Director of Income Tax (Pr. DIT) with immediate effect. Further, six officers have been assigned additional charges in the same rank.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Vatsalya Saxena, Pr. CIT (OSD), Mumbai, has been transferred and posted as Pr. CIT-1, Kochi.
2. Krishan Kumar, Pr. ADG, Vigilance HQ-5, Delhi, has been moved to Pr. DIT (Investigation)-2, Delhi.
3. S. Murali Mohan, Pr. CIT (OSD), Mumbai, will now serve as Pr. CIT (VU)-1, Hyderabad.
4. T Diwakar Prasad, Pr. CIT (VU)-1, Coimbatore, is shifted to Pr. CIT-1, Coimbatore.
5. Ritesh Parmar, Pr. CIT (OSD), Ahmedabad, has been posted as Pr. ADG, NADT-RC, Ahmedabad
6. Sathyamoorthy N, Pr. CIT-1, Coimbatore, has been posted as Pr. CIT (VU)-1, Coimbatore
7. Kumar Ajeet, Pr. CIT (VU)-1, Burdwan, has been posted to Pr. CIT (AU)-3, Kolkata.

Additionally, six officers have been assigned additional charges in the same rank. Notable among them are:

• Vatsalya Saxena will also hold charge of Pr. CIT, Thiruvananthapuram Apuram (Kerala).
• Jagdish P Jangid will hold charge of Pr. CIT (AU)-1, Kolhapur (Pune).
• Abhijit A. Patankar will hold additional charge of Pr. CIT (VU)-1, Pune.
• Kumar Ajeet will hold charge of Pr. CIT (VU)-1, Burdwan (West Bengal & Sikkim).
• V Vivekanandan will hold charge of Pr. CIT (C), Nagpur
• Rakesh Garg has been given charge of Pr. ADG (Vigilance), HQ-5, Delhi.
