CBDT reshuffles 18 senior IRS officers at Pr. CCIT, Pr. DGIT level

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on Thursday (March 9, 2026) ordered a significant reshuffle of senior officers in the Income Tax Department, transferring and posting 18 officers in the rank of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Pr. CCIT) and Principal Director General of Income Tax (Pr. DGIT).

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Jahanzeb Akhtar (IRS-IT:1989) has been shifted from Pr. CCIT (NFAC), Delhi to Pr. CCIT (OSD), Bengaluru.
2. Debjyoti Das (IRS-IT:1990) has been transferred from Pr. CCIT (Exemptions), Delhi to Pr. DGIT (I&CI), Delhi.
3. Rajeshwar Yadav (IRS-IT:1990), Pr. CCIT (NaFAC), has been transferred as Pr. DGIT (Admin & TPS), Delhi.
4. Anita Sinha (IRS-IT:1990), Pr. DGIT (Training), Delhi, has been transferred as Pr. DGIT (HRD), Delhi.
5. Ashok Kumar Saroha (IRS-IT:1990), Pr. CCIT, North Western Region, has been transferred as Pr. DGIT (L&R), Delhi.
6. Sunil Bajpai (IRS-IT:1990), currently serving as Pr. CCIT (OSD), has been transferred as Pr. CCIT, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry.
7. Alok Kumar (IRS-IT:1990), Pr. CCIT (OSD), has been posted as Pr. CCIT, Mumbai.
8. Aparna M Agarwal (IRS-IT:1990), Pr. CCIT (OSD), has been transferred and posted as Pr. CCIT, UP (East).
9. D Sudhakara Rao (IRS-IT:1990), Pr. CCIT (OSD), has been transferred and posted as Pr. CCIT, Odisha.
10. Priscilla Singsit (IRS-IT:1990), Pr. CCIT (OSD), has been transferred and posted as Pr. CCIT, Nagpur.
11. Ningreirum Longvah (IRS-IT:1990), Pr. CCIT (OSD), has been transferred and posted as Pr. CCIT, NER.
12. Mayank Priyadarshi (IRS-IT:1991), Pr. CCIT (OSD), has been transferred and posted as Pr. CCIT, NWR.
13. Pallavi Agarwal (IRS-IT:1991), Pr. CCIT (OSD), has been transferred and posted as Pr. CCIT (Exemptions), Delhi.
14. Rolee Agarwal (IRS-IT:1991), Pr. CCIT (OSD), has been transferred and posted as Pr. DGIT (Training), Delhi.
15. Mona Mohanty (IRS-IT:1991), Pr. CCIT (OSD), has been transferred and posted as Pr. CCIT, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh.
16. Vidisha Kalra (IRS-IT:1991), Pr. CCIT (OSD), has been transferred and posted as Pr. CCIT (OSD), Karnataka & Goa.
17. Suresh Battini (IRS-IT:1991), Pr. CCIT (OSD), has been transferred and posted as Pr. CCIT, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana.
18. Sanjeev Singh (IRS-IT:1991), Pr. CCIT (OSD), has been transferred and posted as Pr. CCIT (NaFAC & NFAC), Delhi.

Additionally, Alok Kumar has been given additional charge of Pr. CCIT, Pune, and D Sudhakara Rao will hold additional charge of Pr. CCIT, Bihar and Jharkhand.
