The central government has assigned Harinder Bir Singh Gill (IRS-IT:1987) the additional charge of Member (Systems & FS) at the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and Zonal charge of Kerala & Tamil Nadu, replacing Sanjai Kumar Verma (IRS-IT:1988), who retired on June 30, 2024. Harinder Bir Singh Gill currently serves as Member (TPS & R) at CBDT.
Following approval from the competent authority, the Department of Revenue issued orders on Monday (08.07.2024), regarding this assignment of additional charge to Harinder Bir Singh.
The order also stated that CBDT Chairman Ravi Agrawal (IRS-IT:1988) will continue to hold the position of Member (Administration) until further notice. Notably, Agrawal was Member (Administration), before being elevated to the top post.
