CBDT assigns new roles to 8 Principal Chief Commissioners

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has delegated fresh responsibilities to officers in the rank of Principal Chief Commissioner (Income Tax). It is noteworthy that twelve IRS (IT) officers, predominantly from the 1988 batch, were empanelled on December 28th for assuming Principal CC rank positions within the Income Tax department.

The names of the officers and their posting are as follows:

1. Jayanti Krishnan (IRS-IT:1988)– Principal CCIT (PCCIT), Kerala.
2. Debendra Narayan Kar (IRS-IT:1988)– Principal CCIT, National Faceless Appeal Center (NFAC).
3. Manoranjan Panigrahi (IRS-IT:1988)– PCCIT, Bihar and Jharkhand.
4. Simanchala Das (IRS-IT:1988)– Principal Director General, Training, Delhi.
5. Seema Raj (IRS-IT:1988)– Principal Director General of Income Tax, HRD.
6. Shelley Jindal (IRS-IT:1988)– PCCIT, Karnataka & Goa.
7. Hemant Jawahar Lal (IRS-IT:1988)– Principal Chief Commissioner, UP (west) and Uttarakhand.
8. Chaitali Panmei (IRS-IT:1987)– Principal Chief Commissioner, North East Region (NER), Guwahati.
