CAT Tribunal benches not to function till May 3

In an effort to contain the spread of coronavirus, the Ministry of Personnel has suspended functioning of the Central Administrative Tribunal benches till May 3.

In a statement the ministry said that almost all CAT branches are located at hotspots and the Bar members were finding it difficult to deal with the cases during lockdown situation.  

The statement added that once the functioning of the benches resumes, a decision may be taken with regard to working on certain days, already declared as holidays or vacation.

The current phase of extended lockdown is scheduled to end on May 3.
