Senior IPS officer Piyush Purusottamdas Patel (IPS:1988:GJ), currently serving as Inspector General (IG) of Border Security Force (BSF), has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre Gujarat. According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday (25.11.2024), the competent authority has approved premature repatriation of Mr. Patel to his parent cadre with immediate effect on the request of state government.
