In a significant development, Nitin Agarwal (IPS:1989:KL), Director General (DG) of Border Security Force (BSF), has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Friday (02.08.2024) approved the proposal of Ministry of Home Affairs to repatriate Mr. Agarwal to his parent cadre with immediate effect.
Notably, Nitin Agarwal was appointed as DG of the BSF in June 2023, with his term set to run until July 31, 2026, his date of superannuation.
