In a significant development, the Government of India has appointed 14 members of the Tripura State Civil Services to the Indian Administrative Service. The appointments, based on a year-wise selective list covering 2018, 2019, and 2020, are on probation until further orders. The officers have been allocated the Tripura Cadre for their service.
The Tripura government on Saturday (16.12.2023) issued transfer and posting orders for 13 officers including six IAS officers.
The names of the officers and their postings are given below:
Vivek HB (IAS:2020:TR), SDM, Dharmanagar and CEO, Dharmanagar MC, has been transferred and posted as ADM & Collector, Dhalai Distt. Ambassa.
Shyamjoy Jamatia (TCS-I), Additional SDM, Dharmanagar , has been transferred and posted as SDM, Dharmanagar and CEO, Dharmanagar MC.
Prashant Badal Negi (IAS:2020:TR), SDM, Amarpur and EO Amarpur NP, has been transferred and posted as ADM & Collector, West Tripura District, Agartala.
Amaresh Barman (TCS-I), SDM, Kanchanpur, has been transferred and posted as SDM, Amarpur and EO, Amarpur NP.
Pradeep K (IAS:2020:TR), Phase-II, Training at LBSNAA, has been transferred and posted as SDM, Kanchanpur.
Rinku Lather (IAS:2021:TR), Phase-II, Training at LBSNAA, has been transferred and posted as SDM, LT Valley.
Uttam Kumar Bhoumik (TCS-I), SDM, SDM, LT Valley, has been transferred and posted as SDM, Belonia and CEO, Belonia MC.
Ratan Bhowmik (TCS-I), SDM, Belonia, and CEO, Belonia MC, has been transferred and posted as Dy Secretary to the Governor, Tripura.
Megha Jain (IAS:2021:TR), Phase-II, Training at LBSNAA, has been transferred and posted as SDM, Khowai with additional charge of CEO, Khowai MC.
Bijay Sinha (TCS-I), SDM, Khowai with additional charge of CEO, Khowai MC., has been transferred and posted as Senior Deputy Magistrate, DM’s Office, Unakoti.
Dr. Rajdeep Singh (IAS:2021:TR), Phase-II Training at LABSNAA, has been transferred and posted as OSD, DM’s office, North Tripura.
Sumit Kumar Pandey (IAS:2021:TR), Phase-II Training at LABSNAA, has been transferred and posted as SDM, Jamuijala.
Debdas Debbarma (TCS-II), SDM, Jampuijala, has been transferred and posted as Dy CEO, Election Department.
The Tripura government on Saturday (16.12.2023) announced the posting of senior IAS officer Brijesh Pandey, who has recently returned from a central deputation. Pandey will now take charge of responsibilities previously held by three IAS officers, whose roles have been reassigned to him.

Brijesh Pandey(IAS:2004:TR), on premature repatriation from central deputation, has been posted as Secretary, Public Works (Sanitation part of Drinking Water & Sanitation), Home (Jail) and GA (Printing & Stationary) Department.
Tapas Roy (IAS:2005:TR), Secretary, Minorities Welfare, OBC Welfare, Home (Jail), Cooperation, Education (SW & SE) with additional charge of State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities is relieved from the charge of Home (Jail) Department.
U. K. Chakma (IAS:2008:TR), Secretary, Transport, Tourism, GA (Printing & Stationary) with additional charges of Ex-Officio Chairman, Tripura Urban Transport Corporation Ltd. (TUTCL) and Secretary to Governor, Tripura is relieved from the charge of GA (Printing & Stationary) Department.
Dr. Rathod Sandeep Rewaji (IAS:2009:TR), Secretary, Rural Development (including Panchayats), Public Works (Sanitation part of Drinking Water & Sanitation) and Health & Family Welfare Department is relieved from the charge of Public Works (Sanitation part of Drinking Water & Sanitation) Department.
The Department of Economic Affairs on December 14 issued transfer and posting orders for two Indian Economic Service officers.
They are;
Renu Lata (IES:2004), Economic Adviser, Department of Commerce, has been transferred and posted as Economic Adviser, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.
Chitvan Singh Dhillon (IES:2017), Deputy Director, Commission for Agricultural Costs & Prices (CACP), Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Director, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals.
Anand Pratap Singh (IPS:1997:HP) has been appointed to the post of Inspector General (IG) in the Border Security Force (BSF) for a period of five years. According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the competent authority has approved the appointment of Mr. Singh to the post on deputation basis for a period of five years from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The Chhattisgarh government on Tuesday (19.12.2023) appointed Dr. Subhash Singh Raj (SPS:2014) as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Chief Minister. Previously, he was serving as Joint Collector, Bilaspur.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has given the green light to the empanelment of IRS officers from the 2006 batch for promotion to the grade of Commissioner of Income Tax (CIT) in the Indian Revenue Service (Level 14 of the Pay Matrix) for the panel year 2024.

The Haryana government on Monday (18.12.2023) assigned additional charges to it two IAS officers.
They are;
Dr. Jainder Singh Chhilar (IAS:2016:HY), Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Citizen Resources Information Officer, Charkhi Dadri and District Municipal Commissioner, Bhiwani & Charkhi Dadri, has been given additional charge of District Municipal Commissioner, Charkhi Dadri.
Anupama Anjali (IAS:2018:HY), Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Citizen Resources Information Officer, Bhiwani, has been given additional charge of District Municipal Commissioner, Bhiwani.
Mr. Harsh Gupta, a senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1997 Karnataka cadre, has been given premature repatriation to his home cadre. The repatriation comes with the condition of an extended cooling-off period. Currently serving as the Project Director (JS level) for the National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project (NCRMP) under the National Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr. Gupta’s repatriation marks a significant development in his career trajectory.
The Telangana Government has promoted 14 IAS officers from the 2015 Batch to the Junior Administrative Grade Scale (Level-12 in the pay matrix). The promotion is effective from the New Year – January 1, 2024. Notably, all the officers will continue in their current positions following their well-deserved promotions.
