Telangana: 12 IPS officers shifted, Tarun Joshi posted as CP of Rachakonda

The Telangana government on Monday (12.02.2024) issued transfer and posting orders for 12 IPS officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

  1. G Sudheer Babu (IPS:2001:TG), Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, has been transferred and posted as IGP, Multi Zone-II, with full additional charge of IGP, Multi-Zone-I, Hyderabad.
  2. Dr Tarun Joshi (IPS:2004:TG), IGP, Multi Zone-II, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda.
  3. M Srinivasulu (IPS:2006:TG), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as Commissioner of Police, Ramagundam.
  4. L S Chowhan (IPS:2009:TG), DIG, Jogulamba, Zone-VII, has been retained in the post as his transfer to Ramagundam as Commissioner of Police cancelled.
  5. D Joel Davis (IPS:2010:TG), awaiting posting orders and under orders of transfer as DIG, Zone-VII Jogulamba, has been now posted as Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Cyberabad.
  6. Narayan Naik (IPS:2010:TG), Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Cyberabad, has been transferred and posted as DIG, SCRB, CID, Hyderabad.
  7. K Apoorva Rao (IPS:2014:TG), SP, CID, Women Protection Cell, has been transferred and posted as SP, Vigilance, TSRTC, Hyderabad.
  8. D Uday Kumar Reddy (IPS:2016:TG), SP, TS TRANSCO, has been transferred and posted as DCP, South West Zone, Hyderabad.
  9. R Giridhar (IPS:2017:TG), DCP, SOT, Malkangiri, Rachakonda, has been transferred and posted as DCP, East Zone, Hyderabad City.
  10. D Muralidhar (IPS), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as Deputy Director, RBVRR Telangana State Police Academy.
  11. B Naveen Kumar (IPS:2008:TG), Deputy Director, RBVRR Telangana State Police Academy, has been directed to report to the Office of DGP (HoPF), Telangana, Hyderabad.

The Rajasthan government on Thursday (15.02.2024) issued transfer and posting orders for 11 IAS officers including four District Collectors.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

UP: STF Chief Amitabh Yash gets addl. charge of ADGP, Law & Order

The Uttar Pradesh government has implemented a significant change in the Police Administration by entrusting the additional charge of the State’s Law & Order Department to STF ADGP Amitabh Yash (IPS:1996:UP). The Law & Order Department holds paramount importance for the current government, which takes pride in its commitment to upholding the rule of law. This strategic assignment of additional responsibility to ADGP Amitabh Yash, who also serves as the STF Chief, sends a clear message that the state government is poised to handle this crucial department with enhanced determination and efficiency.

Formerly, Acting DGP Prashant Kumar (IPS:1990:UP) was at the helm of the Law & Order Department. However, following the retirement of Acting DGP Vijay Kumar (IPS:1988:UP) on January 31, Prashant Kumar assumed the position of State’s DGP. The decision by CM Yogi Adityanath to assign the additional charge of this vital department to one of his most trusted lieutenants, ADGP Amitabh Yash, underscores the government’s commitment to maintaining and strengthening law and order in the state.

  2. Vivek Kumar Porwal, presently serving as Principal Revenue Commissioner, Bhopal and ex-officio Secretary, Revenue Department and Commissioner, Land Records & Settlement, Gwalior (additional charge).
  3. Sandeep Yadav, presently serving as Secretary, Civil Aviation, Secretary, Public Relations Department, and Commissioner, Public Relations.
  4. Sonali Ponkshe Vayangankar, presently serving as Commissioner-cum-Director, Indian System Of Medicine & Homeopathy.

The Bihar government on Wednesday (14.02.2024) issued transfer and posting orders for two IAS officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

  1. Alok Ranjan (IAS:2011:BH), Director, Agriculture, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary-cum-Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Election Department with additional charge of Director, Agriculture Department.
  2. Anand Sharma (IAS:2013:BH), Director, Panchayati Raj with additional charge of Additional charge of Urban Development and Housing Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary-cum-Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Election Department. He will hold the additional charge of Director, Panchayati Raj.

IAS Prashant Goyal transferred to Delhi segment of AGMUT cadre

Prashant Goyal (IAS:1993:AGMUT), Principal Secretary in various departments in Jammu and Kashmir, has been appointed to the Delhi segment of the AGMUT cadre. Simultaneously, he will retain his role as Member of the Finance Commission for the Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Ladakh, and Lakshadweep, assuming the additional charge for these regions.

Tripura: Two IFS officers shifted

The Tripura government on Thursday (15.02.2024) issued transfer and posting orders for two IFS officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

  1. Ashok Kumar, IFS Probationer, attached with the Office of the SDFO, Teliamura, Khowai District, has been transferred and posted as SDFO, Dharmanagar, North Tripura District.
  2. Sangita Aba Khatal, IFS Probationer, attached with the Office of the SDFO, Udaipur, Gomati District, has been transferred and posted as SDFO, Khowai, Khowai District.

S Uma Venkatesan (IRS-IT:1994), the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at Cochin Shipyard Ltd. (CSL), Kochi, has been prematurely repatriated to her parent cadre. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (14.02.2024), the competent authority has approved the proposal to repatriate Ms. Venkatesan to her parent cadre. This move is intended to facilitate her in availing the benefit of promotion within her cadre.

Kalyani Sethuraman gets extension as CVO of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd

Kalyani Sethuraman (IRAS:1994), currently serving as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL), Bengaluru, has had her deputation tenure extended for an additional two years. As per an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (14.02.2024), the competent authority has approved the proposal to extend Mr. Sethuraman’s deputation tenure beyond 18.04.2024. The extension is granted for a period up to 18.04.2026 or until further orders are issued, whichever occurs earlier.
