Puneet Meena appointed as Deputy Secretary in Central Vigilance Commission
Puneet Meena (IRAS:2012), who was recommended for central deputation by the Ministry of Railways has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), Delhi for a period of four years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (16.02.2024), Mr. Meena has been appointed to the post under central staffing scheme for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Ruchir Mittal returns to parent cadre
Ruchir Mittal (IDAS: 2006), serving as Director in the Department of Pension & Pensioner’s Welfare, has been prematurely repatriated to her parent cadre. In an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday, February 16, 2024, the competent authority has given approval to the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare’s proposal for Ms. Mittal’s repatriation to her parent cadre. This decision is based on personal grounds.
Manisha Meena’s tenure as Director in D/o Commerce curtailed
The tenure of Manisha Meena (IES:2008) as Director in the Department of Commerce has been curtailed upon her selection to the post of Principal Professional, Strategy and Policies at New Development Bank, Shanghai, China. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday (17.02.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has given its approval to the Department of Commerce’s proposal to curtail her tenure under the central staffing scheme due to her new assignment at the New Development Bank in Shanghai, China.
Chandraker Bharti returns to parent cadre on request of MHA
Chandraker Bharti (IAS:1996:AGMUT), who held the position of Additional Secretary in the Department of Home within the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), has been repatriated to his parent cadre. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on Saturday, February 17, 2024, confirming that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has granted approval for Mr. Bharti’s repatriation as per the request made by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
CBI Spl Director Ajay Bhatnagar laterally shifted to NHRC as DG (Investigation)
Ajay Bhatnagar (IPS: 1989: JH) has been appointed to the post of Director General (Investigation) at the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC). Previously serving as the Special Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), his tenure in the CBI was originally scheduled until his retirement on November 20, 2024. However, with his lateral shift to NHRC, his stint at CBI has been shortened.
As per an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Ajay Bhatnagar is appointed as DG (Investigation), NHRC, effective from his date of assumption until November 30, 2024, which marks his superannuation or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier.
IPS officers Zulfiquar Hasan and Sivagami Sundari Nanda accorded Apex Pay Scale (Level-17)
Senior IPS officers Zulfiquar Hasan (IPS: 1988: WB) and Sivagami Sundari Nanda (IPS: 1988: AGMUT) have been accorded the Apex pay scale, positioned at Level-17 in the pay matrix. As per an official order released by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday, February 17, 2024, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has given its approval to the Ministry of Home Affairs’ proposal for granting the Apex Pay Scale to both officers.
Presently, Zulfiquar Hasan serves as the Director General of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, while Sivagami Sundari Nanda holds the position of Special Secretary (Internal Security) in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Anuradha Thakur continues as SFIO Director with extended additional charge for six months
Ms. Anuradha Thakur (IAS:1994:HP), Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, is granted an extension for an additional six months to continue holding the additional charge of the Director’s position at the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO). As per an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday, February 17, 2024, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has given its approval to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ proposal for the extension of entrustment of the additional charge. This extension is effective from February 1, 2024, or until the conclusion of her central deputation tenure, or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier.
