MP: 5 IAS officers shifted including Sheopur Collector

Shortage of IAS in MP

The Madhya Pradesh government on Tuesday (19.02.2024) issued transfer and posting orders for 5 IAS officers.

The names of the officers and their posting are as follows;

  1. Lokesh Kumar Jatav (IAS:2004:MP), Commissioner, Commercial Tax, Indore with additional charge of MD, MP Finance Corporation, Indore, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Protection Department.
  2. Swatantra Kumar Singh (IAS:2007:MP), Secretary, Backward Classes & Minorities Welfare Department with additional charge of Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes Department, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Commercial Tax, Indore with additional charge of MD, MP Finance Corporation, Indore.
  3. Anurag Chaudhary (IAS:2010:MP), Additional Secretary, Animal Husbandry & Dairy Development Department and Department of Fishermen Welfare & Fisheries Development has been transferred and posted as MD, MP Mineral Corporation, Bhopal and ex-officio Additional Secretary, Mineral Resources Department with additional charge of Director, Administration and Mining, Directorate of Geology and Mining, Bhopal.
  4. Sanjay Kumar (IAS:2011:MP), Collector, Sheopur, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, MP Secretariat.
  5. Rajeev Ranjan Meena (IAS:2012:MP), MD, MP Mineral Corporation, Bhopal and ex-officio Additional Secretary, Mineral Resources Department with additional charge of Director, Administration and Mining, Directorate of Geology and Mining, Bhopal has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary, MP Secretariat.
  6. Anuj Kumar Rohatgi, Additional Collector, Sheopur, has been given additional charge of Collector, Sheopur

Justice Nilay Vipinchandra Anjaria appointed as Chief Justice of Karnataka HC

Justice Nilay Vipinchandra Anjaria, Judge, Gujarat High Court, has been appointed as Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court consequent upon the superannuation of incumbent Justice PS Dinesh Kumar on February 24, 2024.

The Supreme Court Collegium had on February 07, Wednesday recommended the appointment of Gujarat High Court judge Justice Anjaria as the Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court.

AK Agrawal gets extension as Common CVO of REIL, ILK, HSL & SSL

The deputation tenure of Anil Kumar Agrawal (ITS:1998) as Common Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Ltd. (REIL), ILK, HSL & SSL, Jaipur, has been extended for an additional two years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (19.02.2024), the competent authority has approved the proposal, extending Mr. Agrawal’s deputation tenure for an additional two years beyond 31.03.2024, i.e., up to 31.03.2026 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Prankur Gupta re-designated as Director in DIPAM

Prankur Gupta (IRSS:2010), presently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Investment & Public Asset Management (DIPAM), has undergone a re-designation and is now designated as Director within the same Ministry. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on Monday (19.02.2024), confirming the approval of the competent authority for the proposed re-designation by the DIPAM. This re-designation is approved for a specified period, extending up to 22.06.2026.

It is worth noting that Prankur Gupta commenced his central deputation tenure on June 23, 2021.

Ashish Gupta appointed as Deputy Secretary, D/o Rural Development

Ashish Gupta (IRSME:2014) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Rural Development, Delhi. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on Monday (19.02.2024), confirming the appointment. The competent authority has approved Mr. Gupta’s appointment under the central staffing scheme, effective for tenure up to 30.12.2025 (i.e. combined tenure of four years at ex-cadre and CSS post together under the central staffing scheme) or until further orders,
whichever is earlier.

IAS Pawan Kumar appointed as Director, D/o Rural Development

Pawan Kumar (IAS:2008:UP) has been appointed as Director in the Department of Rural Development, Delhi, for a tenure of five years. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on Monday (19.02.2024), confirming the appointment. The competent authority has granted approval for Mr. Kumar’s appointment under the central staffing scheme, effective for five years from the date he assumes charge of the post or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.

Ravikiran Ubale appointed as Director, Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare

Ravikiran Ubale (IA&AS:2010), recommended for central deputation by the Office of Comptroller & Auditor General of India, has been appointed as the Director in the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare, Delhi. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (19.02.2024), Mr. Ubale’s appointment under the central staffing scheme is for a period up to 21.02.2027 (a combined tenure of 5 years on ex-cadre and CSS post together), effective from the date of assuming charge of the post or until further orders, whichever comes earlier. The competent authority has duly approved this appointment.

Mohammad Isharar Ali appointed as Director, DPIIT

Mohammad Isharar Ali (IRSEE:2002) has been appointed as Director in the Department of Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), Delhi. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on Monday (19.02.2024), confirming Mr. Ali’s appointment. The competent authority has granted approval for his appointment under the central staffing scheme for a tenure up to 08.11.2027 or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier.

Bhuvnesh Pratap Singh appointed as Deputy Secretary, DPIIT

Bhuvnesh Pratap Singh (IAS:2012:JH) has been designated as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), Delhi, for a tenure of four years. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on Monday (19.02.2024), confirming the appointment. The competent authority has granted approval for Mr. Singh’s appointment under the central staffing scheme, effective for four years from the date he assumes charge of the post or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.

Ajay Kumar Bhalla gets addl. charge of Secretary, DoPT

Ajay Kumar Bhalla (IAS:1984:AM), currently serving as the Home Secretary to the Government of India, has been assigned the additional responsibility of Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). As per a directive issued by the DoPT on Monday (19.02.2024), this additional charge has been approved by the competent authority, and it will be effective from 20.02.2024 to 25.02.2024. This temporary assignment comes during the period of leave of Ms. Radha Chauhan (IAS:1988:UP), the regular occupant of the post.
