Sureshwar Singh Bonal (CWES:2004), who was recommended for central deputation by the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, has been selected for appointment as Director in the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Delhi, for five years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (23.02.2024), the central government approved the appointment of Mr. Bonal to the post for period of five years under central staffing scheme from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Tatung Padi appointed as Director in M/o Skill Development & Entrepreneurship

Tatung Padi (IRS-IT:2009), who was recommended for central deputation by the Department of Revenue, has been selected for appointment as Director in the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Delhi, for five years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (23.02.2024), the central government approved the appointment of Mr. Padi to the post for period of five years under central staffing scheme from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Ministry of Defence Director Anoop Khinchi repatriated to parent cadre

Anoop Khinchi (IAS:2008:NL), Director in the Ministry of Defence, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (23.02.2024), the competent authority has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Defence to repatriate Mr. Khinchi to his parent cadre to avail the benefit of promotion.

Supreme Court collegium recommends transfer of 3 HC Judges

The Supreme Court collegium, headed by Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, has put forth recommendations to the Centre for the transfer of three high court judges who have made requests for the same.

During a meeting on February 13, the collegium, consisting of Justices Sanjiv Khanna, B.R. Gavai, Surya Kant, and Aniruddha Bose, approved the request of Calcutta High Court judge Justice Moushumi Bhattacharya for a transfer to another high court due to personal reasons. The Collegium, in the interest of the better administration of justice, resolved to recommend the transfer of Ms. Justice Moushumi Bhattacharya to the High Court for the State of Telangana.

Furthermore, the collegium accepted the request of Justice Anu Sivaraman, who sought a transfer from the State of Kerala. The recommendation was made in the interest of the better administration of justice, and Ms. Justice Anu Sivaraman is proposed to be transferred to the Karnataka High Court.

In another decision, the collegium acknowledged a communication dated February 12, 2024, from Justice Sujoy Paul, who requested a transfer due to his son practicing in the High Court of Madhya Pradesh. In the interest of the better administration of justice, the collegium resolved to recommend the transfer of Mr. Justice Sujoy Paul to the High Court for the State of Telangana.

Bhupinder Kumar appointed as DCO/DCR of Jammu & Kashmir & Ladakh

Bhupinder Kumar (IAS:2011:AGMUT) has been appointed as Director of Census Operations (DCO)/Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) at the Deputy Secretary level for Jammu & Kashmir & Ladakh. As per an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (22.02.2024), the competent authority has officially sanctioned Mr. Kumar’s appointment to this post. This appointment is effective for a tenure extending up to 31.12.2025 or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier. Bhupinder Kumar has been entrusted with the responsibilities of this position on an additional charge basis.

Vikash Kumar (IRS-C&IT:2013), who was recommended for central deputation by the Department of Revenue, has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Revenue, Delhi for a period of four years.
