D Venkateswara Reddy (IRS-C&CE:1995), Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Bharat Earth Movers Ltd. (BEML), Bengaluru, has been given additional charge of CVO of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd. (MDSL), Mumbai. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (28.02.2024), the competent authority has approved the proposal for entrustment of additional charge of the post to Mr. Reddy for a period upto 15.02.2024 (i.e. upto his initial deputation tenure as CVO, BEML) or till the appointment of regular CVO or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
VS Arvind re-designated as Director in M/o Skill Development and Entrepreneurship
VS Arvind (IP&TA&FS:2010), Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, has undergone a re-designation and is now designated as Director within the same Ministry. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on Wednesday (28.02.2024), confirming the approval of the competent authority for the proposed re-designation by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. This re-designation is approved for a specified period, extending up to 03.08.2028 i.e total tenure of five years under the central staffing scheme.
It is worth noting that VS Arvind commenced his central deputation tenure on August 08, 2023.

MHA orders posting of IAS, IPS officers to J&K
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued orders on Tuesday, directing the posting of one AGMUT cadre IAS officer and one IPS officer to the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. The order designates Chandraker Bharti, a 1996-batch IAS officer, and Tejinder Singh, a 2008-batch IPS officer, for immediate posting to Jammu & Kashmir following their repatriation from Central deputation. The assignments are effective immediately and remain in force until further orders are issued.

UP govt effects administrative restructuring, shuffles many IAS officers
The Uttar Pradesh government has undertaken a significant restructuring in the state bureaucracy, reassigning responsibilities to a dozen IAS officers. Rajnish Dube (IAS:1988:UP), a seasoned officer serving as the Additional Chief Secretary for Dairy Development, Fisheries, and Animal Husbandry, has been transferred to assume the role of Chairman of the Revenue Board. Meanwhile, Rajesh Kumar Singh (IAS:1991:UP) has been appointed as the Principal Secretary for Cooperative and will concurrently hold the position of Principal Secretary for Prisons.
BL Meena (IAS:1991:UP) is now designated as the Principal Secretary for Horticulture, and Ravindra Kumar (IAS:2011:UP) takes on the role of Secretary for Livestock and Dairy Development. Bimal Dubey (IAS:2008:UP) has been assigned the position of Divisional Commissioner in Jhansi, and Chaitra V (IAS:2007:UP) will serve as the Divisional Commissioner in Aligarh.

Amit Garg gets three-month extension as Acting Director of SVP NPA, Hyderabad
Amit Garg (IPS:1993:AP), who currently serves as the Additional Director at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVP NPA) in Hyderabad, has been granted an extension in holding the additional charge of the post of Director of SVP NPA for another three months. The Ministry of Home Affairs issued an order on February 27, 2024, confirming that the competent authority has approved the continuation of the additional charge for Amit Garg beyond February 29, 2024, for an additional three months. This extension will be applicable until the appointment and joining of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.
It is noteworthy that Amit Garg has been holding the position of Director of SVP NPA Hyderabad on an additional charge basis for one year, starting from the retirement of A Seem Rajan (IPS:1987:BH) on February 28, 2023. This extension marks his fourth consecutive term in the role.
