Kuldeep Singh Rathore appointed as OSD to Union Minister Arjun Munda

Kuldeep Singh Rathore, Deputy Secretary, Lok Sabha Secretariat has been retrospectively designated as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Union Minister Arjun Munda, overseeing the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Tribal Affairs. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday, March 11, 2024. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, as per the order, has sanctioned Mr. Rathore’s appointment to the Deputy Secretary position, effective from December 8, 2023, on a co-terminus basis with the Minister. His tenure as OSD will continue until he no longer serves in that capacity or until further directives, whichever occurs first.

Debi Prasad Satpathy selected as Director (HR), BEML Limited

Debi Prasad Satpathy has been selected as Director (Human Resources), BEML Limited at a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on March 11, 2024. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director ED (HR), BEML Limited.

He will be appointed to the post of Director (Human Resources) after receiving vigilance clearances and approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

Rajasthan: Four IAS officers shifted

The Rajasthan government has recently issued transfer and posting orders for four IAS officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

  1. Ghanendra Bhan Chaturvedi (IAS:2009:RJ), Divisional Commissioner, Sikar, has been transferred and posted as Director, Social Justice & Empowerment Department and ex-officio Special Secretary and Panchayati Raj (Social Justice and Empowerment) Department, Jaipur.
  2. Jagjeet Singh Monga (IAS:2014:RJ), Director, Social Justice & Empowerment Department and ex-officio Special Secretary and Panchayati Raj (Social Justice and Empowerment) Department, Jaipur, has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary, Medical Education Department, Jaipur.
  3. Abhishek Khanna (IAS:2018:RJ), Commissioner, Kota Development Authority, Kota, has been transferred and posted as CEO, Zila Parishad-cum- Additional District Programme Coordinator, EGS and ex-officio Chief Project Officer (MADA), Ajmer.
  4. Lalit Goyal (IAS:2019:RJ), CEO, Zila Parishad-cum- Additional District Programme Coordinator, EGS and ex-officio Chief Project Officer (MADA), Ajmer, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Urban Development Trust, Bhilwada.

IAS officer Shantanu’s deputation tenure as JS in M/o DoNER extended

In a recent development, the central deputation tenure of Shantanu (IAS:1997:TR) as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) has been extended for three months. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on Monday (11.03.2024), confirming the competent authority’s approval of the Ministry’s proposal. The extension is effective beyond 27.03.2024 or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.

Foreign deputation tenure of Shiv Kumar Nigam extended

The foreign deputation tenure of Shiv Kumar Nigam, Deputy Director (OL), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, as Second Secretary (Hindi & Culture), High Commissioner of India, Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago has been extended for six months. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (11.03.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal to extend the deputation tenure of Mr. Nigam to the post for further six months beyond 04.03.2024 or joining of his replacement or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

B Selva Kumar and Seven others empanelled for HAG+ in IPoS

In a significant development, B Selva Kumar and seven other Indian Postal Service (IPoS) officers have been officially empanelled for promotion to the Higher Administrative Grade (HAG+). The promotion encompasses the roles of Member, Postal Services Board, and Additional Director General (Coordination) within the IPoS. This advancement positions them at level 16 of the Pay Matrix for the panel year 2024.

Ramesh Chander promoted to PCIT grade

Ramesh Chander (IRS-IT) on Friday (08.03.2024) received a promotion to the grade of Principal Commissioner of Income Tax (PCIT) in the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) for the panel year 2019. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order confirming this advancement. Subsequently, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the proposal for the empanelment of Mr. Chander to the aforementioned post for the panel year 2019.

Thirteen Additional Judges Elevated to Permanent Status Across Three High Courts

Thirteen additional judges across various high courts were on Sunday confirmed as permanent high court judges.

Among them, ten additional judges have been confirmed as permanent judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The newly appointed permanent judges include Justice Kuldeep Tiwari, Justice Gurbir Singh, Justice Deepak Gupta, Justice Amarjot Bhatti, Justice Ritu Tagore, Justice Manisha Batra, Justice Harpreet Kaur Jeewan, Justice Sukhvinder Kaur, Justice Sanjiv Berry, and Justice Vikram Aggarwal.

Additionally, two additional judges have been granted permanent status in the Andhra Pradesh High Court, namely Justice Boppana Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Chakravarthi and Justice Tallapragada Mallikarjuna Rao.

Furthermore, Justice Duppala Venkata Ramana, originally associated with the Andhra Pradesh High Court, has been appointed as a permanent judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
